Led by the hitting of Haley Vance and the pitching of Tyler Epps, the Water Valley Lady Blue Devils were able to secure wins over South Pontotoc and Byhalia on Friday night.
The two wins improved the Lady Blue Devils to 9-9 overall and got them back on the right track after losing three of four games in last weekend’s Southaven Tournament. WVHS coach Kendra Bensch said she felt the girls have gained confidence with each other heading into the stretch run of the season. (April 11, 2011, Page 4B)
