As of right now the Diamond Rebels are in a neck-and-neck race with a slew of other Southeastern Conference foes for the right to play in the conference’s eight-team tournament in Hoover, Ala. at the end of the year.
That tournament also means admission into the NCAA Tournament, which is why this weekend’s series at Auburn should take on added meaning.
That may not be the case, however, according to Ole Miss coach Mike Bianco.
Despite being in a three-way tie atop the SEC West — and fifth overall in the SEC’s standings — with Alabama and Arkansas, Bianco said it’s just another series for the Rebels. (April 21, 2011, Page 6)
