Dominant was the best word to describe the Oxford Middle School boys track team on Thursday. The Chargers won the OMS Relays at Bobby Holcomb Field by scoring 99 points. Lafayette was second with 44 points.
In the girls meet, Pontotoc was first, Oxford was second, Tunica was third, West Point was fourth and Lafayette was fifth.
Field events helped pace the Chargers on Thursday. Michael McGee won the shot put and the discus, while Collin Lei finished second and third in the each event. (April 8, 2011, Page 7A)
