A member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Virginian Nancy Faxon has spent years protecting and promoting the South’s heritage and history.
For the past eight years, she’s worked to preserve and honor soldiers found in a forgotten burial ground by restoring their gravestones and cleaning up the overgrown thicket that grew around the graves. (April 29, 2011, Page 3A)
