Lafayette continued to take steps as a tennis program on Tuesday with a 6-1 win over Senatobia at the courts behind Oxford-University Stadium.
The victory was significant in that it lifted the Commodores to a second straight District 2-4A title and first under new coach Debbie Swindoll.
Tuesday’s win also earned LHS a No. 1 seed in the upcoming Class 4A playoffs and a date with Pontotoc in the first round. (April 13, 2011, Page 9)
