The Bank of Oxford Yankees of the Oxford Park Commission’s 11-12 year-old league got their season off to a quick start on Monday, cruising past the Hunters’ Hollow Braves 13-1.
In other 11-12 League game, the Smoothie King Phillies topped the Oxford Dental Cardinals 5-0.
In the 10-year-old league, the First National Bank Tigers defeated the Tannehill, Carmean & McKenzie, PLLC Cubs10-3, the Buckman Cardinals beat the Rayner Eye Clinic Braves 7-3.
In the 9-year-old league, Davis Logistics Yankees knocked off the Ligon Oral Surgery Rangers 15-13, and the Holcomb Dunbar Attorneys Cardinals defeated the Larson’s Big STAR Phillies 9-4. (April 19, 2011, Page 4B)
