UM Big Event Projects

When: 3/4/2011 - 3/31/2011
Posted in: ,

Students will have an opportunity to give back to the Oxford and Lafayette County communities March 26 through the inaugural University of Mississippi Big Event. The Big Event began as an extension of UMSFusion, an annual service event developed in 2003 that encouraged students to volunteer in the Oxford-Lafayette community. Students can sign up to act as voluntary participants in service throughout the Oxford-Lafayette County community. The day-long projects may include painting, yard work, washing windows, cleaning or assisting the elderly. The university will provide lunch. One unique part of the event is that any community member can register a project for students participation. Registration forms are available at the Lafayette County Courthouse.
