BLOG — Led by 24 points from Chris Warren and 15 from Zach Graham, the Ole Miss Rebels ended their regular season on a high note with an 84-74 win over Arkansas. The win earned the energetic Rebels a season-sweep of the Razorbacks, who had no answer for Warren, Graham and the rest of the team on defense. Ole Miss shot 54.5 percent from the floor (30-for-55). Warren and Graham were given a standing ovation when they left the court for the final time with just under a minute remaining.
Besides the usual steady production from Warren and Graham, OM coach Andy Kennedy saw forward Reginald Buckner only garner two fouls and 31 minutes a game after he fouled out and only played six minutes against Auburn.
Buckner finished the game with 9 points, 7 blocks and 8 rebounds, while the Rebels’ front line guys had 27 points, 16 rebounds and 10 blocks.
Ole Miss (19-12, 7-9 in the SEC) ends the regular season as the No. 3 seed in the SEC West and will now play South Carolina in the first round of the SEC Tournament on Thursday. The No. 2 seed from the East, the team the Rebels would play if they won, is yet to be determined. (March 5, 2011)
