Nutt wants to see his Rebels finish

Ole Miss football coach Houston Nutt may not know which of the four scholarship quarterbacks currently on the roster will start the 2011 season opener against BYU. He may not know who will step up and fill the vacated roles of Jerrell Powe and Ted Laurent on the defensive line, or even who will be the next go-to wide receiver in the new-look offense coordinated by first-year coach David Lee.
What Nutt does feel good about as his team heads into the start of spring football drills, which officially started Monday, is the way they have trained during an offseason that didn’t include bowl practices for the first time since he arrived in Oxford. Nutt said the workouts, led by strength coach Don Decker, have been tough, but the players have taken the extra work in stride. (March 29, 2011, Page 8)
