Several local events received funding this past Wednesday from the Oxford Tourism Council. The Oxford Shakespeare Festival received $1,000 as did the Swamp Stompers. The Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce’s Double Decker Run received $3,000. The Yocona Festival did not receive funding. (March 28, 2011, Page 2A)
