Kennedy excited to face Kentucky in Round 2

Ole Miss coach Andy Kennedy and his players know that when they hit the court for today’s game against No. 15 Kentucky in the second round of the Southeastern Conference Men’s Basketball Tournament, they will be facing a hostile crowd. That’s a given anytime the Wildcats play in the Georgia Dome, or any SEC Tournament venue to honest.How the Rebels (20-12 overall) handle the crowd and a pretty talented Kentucky team that is 22-8 on the year is the bigger question. Ole Miss gained a measure of confidence Thursday with its 66-55 win over South Carolina in the first round and the way the Rebels played on defense especially had Kennedy feeling positive about today’s matchup with the Wildcats, a team the Rebels have not beaten in the SEC Tournament. (March 11, 2011, Page 6A)
