Kendricks has high expectations for squad

Saturday’s weather forecast of sunny skies and temperatures in the upper 60s was a pleasing one for Scott Kendricks. The long-time Oxford High track coach has been waiting for the weather to clear and get warmer so that his team, and the defending Class 5A state champion Lady Chargers coached by Jamie Perkins, can get out and show what they can do.Both teams will get that opportunity Saturday in the annual Oxford Invitational, which will feature Lafayette, Tupelo, Southaven and Corinth, an annual power in Class 3A. (March 9, 2011, Page 7)
