Commodores extend winning streak to 10

Scoring a bunch of runs in two one-sided wins over Tunica-Rosa Fort on Tuesday at W.V. Brewer Field wasn’t the main thing on Lafayette baseball coach Greg Lewis’ mind. Although he was happy knowing that his team improved to 4-0 in the division with 15-0 and 19-0 wins over the Lions in a doubleheader, it was how his team has come together since the start of the year that Lewis was more pleased with.
The two wins improved LHS to 12-2 overall and gave them a 10-game winning streak heading into its weekend games with Oxford and Water Valley. Tougher division games against Center Hill and Lewisburg await the Commodores, but Lewis thought if his staff continued to pitch like they have the first half of the season, the future could be a bright one. (March 30, 2011, Page 6)
