Two lopsided wins over Charleston is how Kary Bridges started his tenure as Water Valley’s baseball coach Tuesday night.The Blue Devils’ quest to return to Jackson and play for the Class 3A state title got off to a great beginning thanks to a 15-0 and 16-1 win over the Tigers. Both games only lasted three innings due to the mercy rule, but Bridges was able to see the talented team he inherited show its outstanding skill at the plate and on the mound. (March 2, 2011, Page 6)
