Rebs survive early errors

Ole Miss got its season off to a bit of a rough start on Friday, surrendering three runs in the top of the first inning thanks in large part to two errors in the outfield. The Rebels rebounded quickly to drop seven runs in the bottom of the frame and never trailed again en route to a 15-6 victory.Starting pitcher Matt Crouse earned the win for Ole Miss, surrendering five runs (two earned) in 6.0 innings while striking out three without walking anyone.

Eric Callender earned the save, allowing one run in 3.0 innings while scattering seven hits. (February 21, 2011, Page 7)
