An opportunity to gain a measure of revenge as well as improve their position in the Southeastern Conference Western Division standings is what the Ole Miss Rebels can gain from a win over Mississippi State. The two teams meet for the final time in the regular season at Humphrey Coliseum Saturday afternoon and both looking to gain ground on each other in the race to be the No. 2 seed in next month’s SEC Tournament.
Ole Miss (17-9 overall, 5-6 SEC) lost 69-64 to MSU in the second game of the season in Oxford. Since that loss, the Rebels have been slowly improving on the interior offensively and may be in a better position to deal with the Bulldogs (13-12, 5-6), who have lost two straight entering the contest.
