Oxford boy’s basketball coach Drew Tyler pointed out the positives of his Chargers and a season that saw them advance to the Class 5A North Half tournament at Indianola-Gentry. It was hard to be critical of much the Chargers have done the last two weeks of the season even after they lost 61-34 to Jackson’s Provine in the North Half semifinals Friday night.Oxford, which finished the year 17-11 overall, had won five in a row coming into Friday’s elimination contest and playing like a team Tyler is more used to coaching over his 14 years as the Chargers’ head coach. (February 21, 2011, Page 8)
