Officials with the Oxford School District and Lafayette County School District have anounced that the city and county schools will be closed again Friday due to the still hazardous road conditions in some parts of the community. The University of Mississippi will be open Friday. The “Telling Trees” oral history project previously set for 6 p.m. Friday at St. Peter’s Episcopal Church has been canceled and will be rescheduled.
