An unselfish attitude, versatility and overall physical skill are just some of the reasons why Oxford’s Monquarious Gipson and Tre’ Carothers are extending their football careers today. The 5-foot-9, 180-pound Gipson signed to play for Northeast Mississippi Community College Wednesday, while the 6-1, 175-pound Carothers is heading off to play at ICC.Both were recruited to play on defense, but OHS coach Johnny Hill thinks they will be good at a lot of spots, especially Gipson, who has served in several different roles during his varsity career.
