National Signing Day less than 24 hours away

Ole Miss football coach Houston Nutt and his staff have spent the past year trying to convince the best players in the state and nation to come and play for the Rebels. In less than 24 hours, National Signing Day will have begun and the work put in by the staff will finally become official. The Rebels head into Wednesday with 28 players who have either already verbally committed or signed letters of intent. Ole Miss signed five junior college players prior to the start of the spring semester, while former West Virginia quarterback, Barry Brunetti, also enrolled in school and will be part of the team starting with spring drills. Brunetti, who was a Parade All-American at Memphis University School, has still not been cleared to play immediately by the NCAA and may have to sit out a season due to transfer rules. (February 1, 2011, Page 8)
