In recent years, Ole Miss’ recruiting classes have been focused on players from outside Mississippi, with depth coming from within the state’s borders.During the Ed Orgeron years, Rebel recruiters sought out players from California and Louisiana. The first three classes under current coach Houston Nutt were filled with players from Georgia and Florida, with Mississippians sprinkled in.
This year, the Rebels appear to have cleaned up with top players from the Magnolia State, the end result of focusing their recruiting efforts on those who call Mississippi home. (February 3, 2011, Page 6)
