The eighth annual Empty Bowls fundraiser for The Pantry will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Oxford-University United Methodist Church. Last year the event raised more than $15,000 for The Pantry — a nonprofit organization that began in 1982 to provide food on an emergency basis to eligible residents in Lafayette County and is staffed by volunteers.
