SPORTS EDITOR BLOG — A late surge led by seniors Chris Warren and Zach Graham helped lift the Ole Miss Rebels to a 69-58 win over Southeastern Louisiana at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum Sunday night.Warren led all scorers with 22 points in the win, including 15 points in the second half, while Graham added 14 points for the Rebels, who improved to 11-3. Ole Miss trailed 31-27 at the half but was able to outscore the Lions (6-6) 41-28 in the final 20 minutes to pull out the victory.
Warren finished the game 7-for-15 from the field and 5-for-5 from the free-throw line. Warren also chipped in six assists. Graham was 6-for-11 with three assists. Ole Miss only shot the ball 56 times in the game but the Rebels hit 48.2 percent of their shots compared to a 38.2 percent shooting percentage for SELA.
The Rebels will be back in action Wednesday at SMU before starting Southeastern Conference play on the road at Florida. (January 2, 2011)
