Each first and third Tuesday from 10 a.m. until noon, Pantry volunteers will assist the Department of Human Services in helping clients make application for food stamps. SNAP is the new program name (Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program). It provides a shorter application form and is intended to encourage more families to take advantage of the food buying resources that are available through DHS. All Pantry clients who are not currently receiving food stamps are encouraged to visit The Pantry on any first or third Tuesday for personal assistance. For more information and to volunteer, call Jim Stephens at 801-3056.
