It’s been a long time coming and on Feb. 5, Ole Miss baseball fans will get a chance to see some former Rebels up close one more time when Oxford-University Stadium plays host to the program’s first Alumni Game.The game — which pits Rebels of yesteryear against current players — is part of an alumni weekend that will also include a golf tournament, social and “behind the scenes” tour for 100 or so former players that the program is anticipating to be in attendance.
The weekend was originally brought up to help bring former players back to Oxford and show them how far the program has come over the years, but baseball fans will also benefit from the weekend. (January 28, 2011, Page 7A)
