Parents of slain boy ask for community’s support

Convicted killer Anthony Jenkins is up for parole for the third time. In July 1985, he shot and killed 4-year-old James Neal Freeman, son of Bobby and Debi Freeman of the College Hill area. The Freeman’s are protesting his release and are asking others to send letters protesting his release to the Mississippi Parole Board. (December 10, 2010, Page 1A)

    1. Debi Freeman says:

Alyssa, thank you for a wonderful article! After I left I had time to think and I should have told you that while he did get 30 years for killing James Neal; he shot me, broke into Linda Sallis’ house and the gun he stole was enough to be grand Larceny. He got 120 consecutive years!! 120-25=95 in my subtraction.
It also would be helpful to publish the id #41295 to identify Jenkins in the letters.
Thanks again. God bless you, Debi Freeman
