When: 12/10/2010
Posted in: , ,

A free public viewing of the sky will be held from 5:30 to 9 this evening in Kennon Observatory at Ole Miss. The Moon looks great in a telescope, but it sets early and will be observable during the first half of the viewing. Attendees will also be able to observe Uranus, Neptune, Jupiter as well as the Pleiades, star clusters and colorful double stars. The Orion Nebula rises later and will be observable during the second half of the viewing. If the weather is cloudy, or rainy, there can be no observation. Families and children are welcome.
