Lafayette’s first boys basketball game of the season ended with a 70-34 loss to Senatobia Tuesday night. The Commodores did play the Warriors tough for a half as they only trailed 18-12 at the end of the first quarter and 33-20 at the half.
Lafayette coach Eric Robertson said he played everyone on the team in the attempt to get the team, led mostly by football players, into shape. Antonio Rosser led the team with six points in the loss.
Lafayette will be back in action Friday at Olive Branch before playing its first home game of the season Saturday at home against Tupelo in the Coach “C” Classic. (December 8, 2010, Page 9)
