The first home games of the season provided mixed results for the Water Valley Blue Devils and Lady Blue Devils against South Panola Thursday night.The Lady Blue Devils were able to capture their first home win thanks to the balanced scoring of Ashley Phillips, C.C. Phillips and Haley Vance, while South Panola pressured the Blue Devils all night long in a 55-33 win.

Vance led all scorers with 18 points in a 48-35 victory for the Lady Blue Devils, who improved to 2-2 on the year. Vance added nine rebounds in the win, while C.C. Phillips also had nine rebounds and 17 points. Ashley Phillips rounded out the double-digit scorers for WVHS with 11 points. (November 19, 2010, Page 7A)
