Powe not ruling out a return in 2011

There’s still a chance Ole Miss senior defensive tackle Jerrell Powe could return next season.

How much of a chance? Not even the 320-pounder knows that answer, because as he said on Monday, he’s still focused on the current season and getting Ole Miss bowl eligible.

Because Powe has only played three seasons (2008-10), he could apply for a waiver under a NCAA rule that allows non-qualifiers the ability to receive a fourth year if they’ve made progress in the classroom towards a degree — which, according to Powe he’ll graduate in May with a degree in criminal justice. (November 17, 2010, Page 7)
