Planners nix tree compromise for parking lot

Efforts to reach a compromise on how many trees should be placed in the Oxford East Shopping Center were thwarted on Monday when the Planning Commission turned down the owner’s request for a variance. The owners had requested to plant 18 trees instead of 60 due to economic hardship. (November 9, 2010, Page 1)
