Ole Miss can’t rebound to top Dayton Flyers

The Ole Miss Rebels didn’t want to use the injury to forward Reginald Buckner as an excuse for their 78-71 overtime loss to Dayton on Saturday at C.M. “Tad” Smith Coliseum.

Sure, there were other issues — like the Rebels 8-for-16 peformance from free-throw line one game after converting 22 of 23 opportunities against Murray State — but after Buckner went down with what head coach Andy Kennedy called a bruise to the inside of his right knee at the 19:13 mark of the second half, the Rebels were never the same on the boards. (November 22, 2010, Page 3B)
