• James “Kank” Carothers Sr. — 76, died Friday, Oct. 15, 2010. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Tallahatchie-Oxford Missionary Baptist Association Building in Oxford. Burial will follow in Yocona Cemetery in Taylor. Visitation for family will be from 6 to 7 this evening and public visitation will follow from 7 to 8 at Mt. Hope M.B. Church. Kenneth I. Roberson Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of the arrangements.
