Dominating. That’s what the Lafayette High girls and boys cross country teams were Saturday in a district tri-meet hosted at Center Hill.

The Lady Commodores recorded a perfect score as they won the first five slots. Lafayette’s boys also won the meet as they finished with 33 points.

Esmeralda Rodriguez led the Lady Commodores as she finished first on the two-mile course with a time of 12 minutes, 54 seconds. Manon Mullen followed Rodriguez in second place, Rachel Starnes was third, Mariah Buford was fourth while Peyton Hamann rounded out the top five runners with a 13:54. (October 25, 2010, Page 4B)
