TEA Party Oxford will host a Judicial Candidates Forum on Monday at the Oxford Convention Center. The event will begin at 6:30 p.m. with an opportunity to meet and talk informally with the nine candidates who are seeking election to the bench Nov. 2 in four separate races. The program will begin at 7. The candidates will respond to a series of questions pertinent to the duties of the court in which they seek to serve. Moderator for the evening will be Judge James L Roberts Jr. from Pontotoc, who currently serves as a circuit court judge in the First Circuit Court District, and is a former chancery court judge and Mississippi Supreme Court justice.
