Adjustments pay off as LHS rolls Caledonia

All season the Lafayette volleyball team has battled sluggish starts.

Saturday’s Class 1 first-round playoff matchup at Caledonia was no different, but luckily for the Lady Commodores, they were able to overcome slow starts in all three games to claim a 3-0 (25-20, 25-16, 25-14) victory. The victory advances Lafayette to a second-round meeting against Ackerman at home on Tuesday.

Against the Lady ‘Feds, coach Rachel Wenzel can point to an early timeout in Game 1 that helped right the ship for Lafayette. (October 4, 2010, Page 4B)
