The community grant program through the Oxford Convention and Visitors Bureau was approved for the upcoming year. Applicants are eligible if the event will promote at least 10 hotel nights, promote the event outside the county and take place between Sept. 1, 2010 and Aug. 31, 2011.

I would like to bring an AAU Super Regionals in Baseball, Volleyball, Girls & Boys Basketball and Golf to Oxford next Spring. My son works at Ole Miss and I have several friends there that want to assist in making this happen. I actually brought two AAU Girls National Championship events to Ole Miss back in the late eighties.
