Lafayette’s cross country teams fared well in the opening meet of the season, the Pontotoc Invitational.
The varsity girls finished second overall, while the varsity boys team was fourth. The seventh- and eighth-grade boys team both finished third.
Eleven teams competed in the varsity division, while 16 teams made up the middle school division. (September 13, 2010, Page 3B)
