Oxford Fire Department firefighters are battling a blaze at The Brass Monkey and The Lanes bowing alley on West Jackson Avenue this morning. Firefighters have been on the scene since around 4:30 a.m. Because of the amount of water being used to battle the blaze, many parts of Oxford have low water pressure. A power outage on Tuesday night caused by a vehicle running into a pole flipped off the switch to the main water supply.

All lanes were closed until 7 a.m. At 7, the lane closest to The Lanes on West Jackson Avenue is the only one that is still shut down. Check the Oxford EAGLE website for updates.
