Oxford-Lafayette Humane Society presents Woofstock on Saturday, Aug. 28, from 2 to 8 p.m. at Johnny Morgan's Shop off Highway 7 North in Oxford (1 mile from the Highway 30 overpass, on the right, directly across from the first entrance to Woodland Hills) to benefit the Humane Society. This fun-filled festival will feature musical guests Soule, Moon Pie Curits, Machine Gun Kelley & the G-Men, Rocket 88 and Shannon McNally & Hot Sauce. Cost is $10 for adults and $7 for kids.
Clark Beverage Group and Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company will provide the beverages. Pork Fiction is cooking barbecue from Stan's Meat Market. Popcorn and cotton candy will be available, along with other food items from Rib Cage, Domino's, Beacon Restaurant, Emileigh's Bakery, Volta, Sno Biz and Frank & Marlee's. Pets allowed if socialized, friendly and on a leash. Kids will enjoy inflatable bouncers, face painting, horse shoes, badminton and more. Vendors, such as Silpada jewelry and Flippin' Fundraiser Flip Flops, will be there with items on display, and My Michelle's will give away food samples. Volunteers are needed to help with this event.
