The on-again, off-again soap opera that has surrounded former South Panola standout and Mr. Football Darius “Tig” Barksdale is off — again.
On Saturday, one day after both head coach Houston Nutt and athletics director Pete Boone sounded optimistic that Barksdale would be a member of the Rebels in 2010, Ole Miss released a statement saying Barksdale and the team had parted ways due to personal issues.
Following Sunday’s practice, Nutt elaborated a bit on the situation.
