Over the course of Jordan Poole’s high school career at Calhoun (Ga.) High, the Ole Miss signee hit plenty of home runs (46 in his final three seasons).
Realizing that once he arrived at Ole Miss he wouldn’t be able to always out-muscle pitchers like he did in high school, the 6-foot-3, 2-5-pound outfielder/first baseman made a conscious effort to become a more complete batter and get his average up. (July 16, 2010, Page 7A)
