A show of Modern Day Silent Comedies, with live musical accompaniment, will be presented at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center. The films are part of a series by a Tupelo filmmaker called, “Haphazard Happenings with Purdie & Friends.” Two shorts, “Backstage” and “Girl Trouble” will accompany the company's first feature film production, “Purdie & Pepper.” The music will be provided by Donald Sosin, a composer and accompanist from New York.
