2nd-grader speaks 4 languages

Alexandra Timofte just completed second grade at Oxford Elementary School, learning English as her fourth language while visiting America with her parents. Vlad and Aida are visiting mathematics professors at the University of Mississippi. In her short time here, Alexandra has gone on to become an excellent chess player and will now compete at the Susan Polgar Girl’s Invitational on July 25-30. (June 1, 2010, Page 6a)
