The Mississippians, the University of Mississippi's principal student jazz ensemble, is slated to present its annual spring concert Thursday, April 15, at Nutt Auditorium.
A second concert is scheduled Friday, April 16, at the Jackson Academy Performing Arts Center in Jackson.
The ensemble is to perform the music of Duke Ellington and Count Basie along with works by contemporary composers Rob McConnell, Charles Mingus, Theloneous Monk and others.
Admission to the April 15 concert on campus is free to the public. Admission to the April 16 concert in Jackson is $5 at the door.
