The Ole Miss baseball team let an early 4-1 lead slip away on Wednesday at Oxford-University Stadium, falling to the Arkansas-Little Rock Trojans 9-6.
With Trent Rothlin on in relief of starter Matt Crouse, the Trojans tallied one run in the fifth inning to begin chipping away at the lead.
In the seventh inning, the Trojans plated five runs off of Rothlin and fellow reliever Eric Callender on two two-run homers and an error to push past the Rebels 7-5.
The Rebels were unable to mount a comeback of their own after that, falling to the Trojans.
Callender was tagged with the loss, allowing thee runs in 1.1 innings.
Ole Miss will hit the road this weekend, traveling to Athens, Ga., to face the Georgia Bulldogs in a three-game series. (April 7, 2010)
