SPORTS EDITOR BLOG — Lafayette’s Shaquilla Isom and Oxford’s Brandon Blake are this year’s EAGLE Players of the Year in basketball. Isom, a junior, leads four other players, including teammates Nikki McChristian and Mykira Buford, on this year’s squad. Blake, a senior who has already signed with Center Hill, leads a team that includes four Chargers. The girls team will be in Tuesday’s paper, while the boy’s team will be released in print and on this site Wednesday. (April 12, 2010)
